  1. Assaults

    • Any physical assault that resulted in injury.

       
  2. Harassment with Mental Health Impact

    • Claims involving harassment where the lead explicitly states they sustained a clinically diagnosable mental injury, such as:

      • PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)

         
      • Severe anxiety

         
      • Depression (if clearly diagnosed and tied to the incident)

         
  3. Objects Falling in Establishments

    • Incidents where an object fell on the lead in a private or commercial property, such as:

      • Items falling from shelves in a store

         
      • Part of the ceiling collapsing

         
      • Fixtures or furniture falling unexpectedly in a public place or business

         
  4. Object Breakage Causing Injury

    • When a product or furniture item unexpectedly breaks or collapses, causing injury, such as:

      • A chair breaking when the lead sat on it

         
      • A bed collapsing in a hotel

         
      • A shelf detaching from the wall during normal use

         
    • These are not due to user misuse but product/facility failure.

Note : If the lead was the owner of the product and claims negligence against the manufacturer, such claims should be submitted under PI- Product liability. 

 

  1. Exposure to Mold Causing Respiratory Issues

    • Situations involving mold in:

      • Rental properties (apartments, houses)

         
      • Hotels or motels

         
    • Where the lead developed respiratory health conditions due to mold exposure.

       
  2. Injuries While Incarcerated

    • Any incident that occurred while the lead was in prison or jail, including:

      • Slip and falls

         
      • Assaults

         
      • Unsafe facility conditions leading to injury

         
  3. Vehicle Malfunctions Due to Third-Party Negligence (Non-Manufacturer)

    • Incidents caused by mechanical failure not attributed to the manufacturer, such as:

      • Faulty repair work by a mechanic or service center

         
      • A rented vehicle that malfunctioned and caused injury or accident

         
      • Improper maintenance by a third party, not the vehicle owner

         
  4. Work-Related Incidents Involving Independent Contractors

    • Injuries that occurred on the job for individuals not classified as employees, such as:

      • Day laborers, freelancers, or gig workers

         
    • Where the injury was due to negligence of the hiring party, unsafe conditions, lack of safety gear, etc.

       
  5. Object Falling Off a Vehicle While Driving

    • When an object (e.g., cargo, equipment) falls off another vehicle (like a truck) and causes the lead to crash into it or otherwise get injured.
    • These incidents are not considered standard MVAs and should be submitted under "Others."

       
  6. Police Brutality

     
  • Any instance where the lead was physically harmed by law enforcement, such as:

    • Excessive use of force

       
    • Injuries sustained during arrest or while in custody

       
    • Any abusive or violent conduct by a police officer resulting in injury

       
  1. Intentional Car Accidents

     
  • Cases where another driver intentionally caused the accident, including:

    • Road rage incidents

       
    • Deliberate ramming or reckless targeting of the lead’s vehicle

       
  • These are not treated as regular MVAs and fall under "Others" due to the intentional nature of the act.

     
  1. Negligence by Ambulance Staff (Non-Car Accident Related)

     
  • Injuries caused by improper handling or negligent care by ambulance personnel in situations not related to car accidents, such as:

    • Mishandling a patient during transport

       
    • Dropping a patient while moving them
